Cserkút is the small Hungarian village in southern Hungary. It is located in the immediate vicinity of Pecs. Cserkút has a rich history. The first writings that mention Cserkut dates from 1291, but it has been proven that it was there in Roman time when on that area was built several Roman villas. From the time of the Arpad originates the local church in the romantic style with partially preserved original frescoes.

Besides the rich historical heritage Cserkút has well developed rural tourism, with the streets full of flowers, pure nature and kind and hospitable population.
